Delaware Valley SVTOA Dyno Day 2

by Herb Sharp

On November 20th, the members of the Delaware Valley SVTOA met at JDM Engineering in Freehold, NJ for what became our second annual “Dyno Day.” The Delaware Valley SVTOA is fortunate to have JDM Engineering so close to us. JDM Engineering is the business of Jim D’Amore, perhaps the best Ford tuner in the US today, as well as home to the quickest Lightning’s in the country. JDM is also a major sponsor of the Fun Ford Weekend events held throughout the year.

When we arrived, the shop was already bustling with activity with customer vehicles being worked on in various areas. When Jim opened the door to the chassis dyno we were surprised to see a Torch Red 2005 Mustang GT with the premium interior in black. It was a pretty site to see. Jim explained that this was Julie’s new car. Jim fired her up and backed out of the garage, what a sweet sound the new Stang has!

While the dyno was getting set up, Jamie and Dave had cds full of photos from their recent trip to the SEMA show. WOW! Julie soon got us back on track as we filled out our paperwork to get dynoed. In spite of very humid conditions, it was all but raining, everyone put up better numbers than last year!

I would like to thank Jamie for setting up the “Dyno Day”, Fast Freddy for his assistance, all of the participants,(especially those who drove thru the rain) Jim, Julie, and the JDM staff for their hospitality and for putting up with us again. We must have done alright as we were invited back for next years “Dyno Day 3”!
